From Our Little Coastie Family to you! <3

Meet the wall. MY wall. Yes, I am staking claim whether the City of Milton likes it or not. Isn’t it the most fabulous wall you have EVER laid eyes on? A little over a year ago some of the buildings in old town Milton burned. Thankfully they were able to save the historic Imogene Theatre. This is the side of the Imogene that was attached to the buildings that burned. From the very moment they cleared the debris, I had been dying to do a session down there. It was a diamond in the rough and I was thrilled to be able to polish it into my own vision. I was able to do that in November for a client and adored the results. I knew I wanted shots of my own family with this wall as the amazing backdrop. I love everything about it, therefore this gorgeous wall is my valentine… just kidding. But this wall makes me happy. I pray that the city never decides to get all wild and crazy and do a big “R” on it. Just thinking about my wall being restored makes me shudder so let’s just refer to it as “R”, ok? Once again, thank you for your understanding in the matter. :)

Today’s Smiles From the Heart:

Having lunch with the inlaws and my mom at Cock of the Walk.

My momma getting the kidlets outfits for Easter. (Always thinking ahead.)

Instructions from the hubby to make reservations for Friday night… DATE NIGHT!!! I can’t wait!

{Jones Family} | Orange Beach AL Family Photographer

I had the great honor to do a beach session for the Jones family (and the Seal family) as they were having their annual reunion in Orange Beach Alabama. My husband works under Senior Chief Jones so that makes us kind of related… Coast Guard style! :) ( I won’t even spill the details about how I am pretty sure Senior Chief and my husband were separated at birth with their OCD tendencies.) oops. Anyways, I knew from the instant I arrived that it was going to be one very fun session! This family thoroughly enjoys one another, and to be in the presence of that set the tone for an awesome evening at the beach: Cousins who adore each other, Grandparents beaming over their grand babies, a brother and a sister both with their spouses cracking jokes right and left. The evening was full of lots of laughter, lots of joking, and lots of beautiful people!

To the Jones/Seal families I want to thank you for the allowing me to capture some special memories for your family! Thanks for making it such a blast! I can only hope that one day I have the relationship with my children, their spouses, and grandchildren and  that you all share! In the meantime I hope that my children are as well mannered as Mr. C, Ms. S, Ms. S B, and Mr. M! They are truly delightful! Enjoy your sneak peek!

Mister M… This littleman stole the show. We had to work for some smiles but once he started there was no stopping him!

Operation: Love ReUnited

I am super excited to be participating in an amazing organization “Operation: Love ReUnited” which enables me to do a little more by giving back to military families in and around our area. This is a national campaign with many participating photographers in many areas of our country! As a military wife this is a cause near and dear to my heart! My heart goes out to all families with a loved one deployed! I am making it my goal to help boost morale for these military members and their families by capturing special moments and memories for them through OpLove! If you are a military family with a love one deployed or deploying and are interested in partaking in this opportunity please contact me at sarahhendersonphoto@yahoo.com for more information!

I had my first official OpLove session with the “M” family! They were the most beautiful little family and a joy to work with! Thanks A, K, and G for being my first OpLove family and sharing in this new experience for the first time with me! And thank you for being such amazing clients! Many prayers for A’s safety while deployed! And many prayers for you K and G for enduring the long time apart! May this time pass quickly for you!

Here is a little slide show of images from your session! Enjoy!

{ Family Session }

Just a little sneak peek for our good friends the Potpan family. Yesterday evening we did a very quick session. Unfortunately the sun was setting more rapidly than we anticipated. Therefore, we are going for round 2 next weekend. (You might recognize dad… he is the one outside the ambulance in this post when my hubby wrecked his 4 wheeler.) Anyways, Tina and Scott thanks for letting me photograph your beautiful little family! Enjoy!

And this is my favorite shot of the session. Dingo decided she (he?) wanted to be in the action and came flying in for some attention. I just love the real moment caught here. The girls were giggling so loudly at Dingo (as were mom and dad :) )
