14/365 (woot woot! Two full weeks into the project!)
Meet Bugsy. Aka Bugsy V. II, Bugsy Part Deux, or Bugsy The Sequel (I should have said “Squeakquel”… lol) Garrett was bound and determined to name his new guinea pig the same name because “It’s a nice name!“. Kids. Their innocence and naivete never cease to amaze me. So Bugsy it is! He’s adorable and incredibly soft! And, in case you didn’t notice, because Garrett definitely noticed and is thrilled by this fact, “he is Camo!” Hubby grumbled at the fact that he wanted to name him the same name as his recently deceased Guinea pig but I had to clue him in that this is just something that kids do when they name pets. I for one, named a friend of my family’s cat Sarah Megan (my own name) when I was about two or three years old. That cat lived a long, full, happy life with a SUPERB name! But I was not the only one with pet naming talents. Yes I am sure you are remembering “Moonshine Daffodil” from this post the other day. My baby brother Micah (The one who just turned 16 the other day that I gave a “Happy Birthday” shout out to. The very same one who is going to KILL his big sister for sharing this publicly on her blog. Yep, him! Hi My My! I love you… Ohhh the nickname. Shoot! I definitely just solidified my fate.) Anyways, Micah was equally as talented as myself. You see he wanted a bunny so my momma happily took him to the local feed store and let him select one. He promptly named him “Walk”. Micah was only about 3 or 4 at the time and we can only think that the name came about because he wanted to take the bunny for a walk. Well unfortunately that bunny met an early demise so he was replaced with “Hop”. SEE! Micah was just as brilliant! Maybe this talent just runs in the family?
Today’s Smiles From the Heart:
(Daily/weekly counting my blessings segment renamed per Bonnie’s suggestion. Love ya girl! Muah!)
Delivering orders to my clients. I love it when they see their prints for the first time! Gives me a great sense of satisfaction!
Watching the hubby and kidlets scurrying around the living room floor in a fit of giggles trying to catch Bugsy.
Getting the side panel molding on my car replaced. It’s been ongoing since May. Let’s hope that this time is the charm! They sure look pretty!
Getting a great deal on an item that I really didn’t want to have to buy.
Warmer weather!
