{ A case of the sickies }

36/365 & 37/365

I missed blogging my daily shot yesterday so today you will get a double dose since the cause is something double, and I didn’t really have a choice. You see, We had an uninvited guest show up. His name is “Double Ear Infection”. The bugger definitely wore out his welcome as soon as he settled in. So instead of being able to edit and blog last night, I was rocking my feverish baby girl. I am ok with the rocking and baby girl part, but the fever, not so much. For days Avery had been telling me “I hab a headache!” which usually followed the words “I can’t” so I thought she had just come up with a new excuse for not cleaning up her toys. I thought we had a serious case of the “I can’t ‘s ” and didn’t key into what she was telling me. HELLO momma, her EARS are attached to her HEAD. She’s TWO. It’s YOUR JOB to figure this stuff out. I feel pretty awful for her, and disappointed with myself for my failing intuition. Where did it go? How did I let myself become so distracted that I was unable to read the signs? On a more positive note she seems to have perked up a bit today. As for tomorrow, I can promise you if this unsolicited punk doesn’t hit the road I will be throwing him out by his nose hair. I mean business.

Smiles From the Heart:

Avery helping me tickle Garrett and the noise she makes when she does it.

My littleman cleaning his desk.

A friend inviting Garrett to play for the day so he would have some fun while I tended to the ailing member of the family.

A conversation last night with my new BFF (Hi Bestie!!) about his undying love for my Bonnie.;)

My hubby, who is out with the crew from his boat, texting me. I asked him if he was having fun and his response: “Yeah, when I’m texting you!” *swoon*  I love that man. He makes me smile.

Jeannine - Awwww…….I absolutely love the first picture. Just perfect. You know sometimes you have to just realize that you are carrying an extremely heavy load at the moment. You are a perfect mom, and if B was home, you would have had more energy, time, and love in your heart to notice the little things. BTW, I love when you talk about B. I swear you have such a perfect and lovely relationship. SMILE…..tomorrow the sun will be shining……..LOL……..because I SAY SO!
